About this deal

The owner of a long criminal record, Docherty had been jailed for seven years in 1996 for attempted murder with a machete, and after being released, was caged again after being caught with a pistol and ammunition while out on licence. Allan, who was caged in 2009 for the slaying of dad-of-five Raymond Black in the victim's Lanarkshire home, was accused of slashing Lyons on February 21, 2021.

The six day trial heard how Mr Black allowed Allan into his home and the two had been drinking together, while Allan had also taken up to 30 Librium tablets and smoked heroin. In the years leading up to his death he had kept a low profile and was said not to go out in Glasgow after dark. As Glasgow continues to grapple with organized crime, this recent conviction underscores the determination to ensure that no one is above the law, regardless of their perceived influence within criminal circles. THE ex Glasgow gangster launched his Blink and You’ll Miss It podcast in January and has attracted around 10,000 subscribers - despite appearing without guests on the show. Martin Mullen and Gerald Gilmour’s plan was halted by police analysis of coded mobile phone messages on the EncroChat platform used widely by criminal gangs. We are committed, along with our partners involved in the Serious Organised Crime Taskforce, to detecting and disrupting the activities of serious and organised criminals. Clinton was sentenced to six years in 2005 for carrying a knife and threatening building site workers. Allan had downed a cocktail of drink and drugs before the killing of Mr Black, which was so frenzied detectives described the crime scene as one of the worst they had encountered. In these blasted terrains, the big and hard men offered leadership and a sense of purpose in the absence of anything similar being offered by governments.

Clinton went on trial at the High Court in Glasgow in April 2004, but the case collapsed after one day through a lack of evidence. He refused to leave his cell to go to court to give evidence, leading to a warrant being issued for his arrest. But today, via his lawyer Donald Findlay KC, he instead pleaded guilty to the reduced charge of culpable homicide at the High Court in Glasgow.

Anyone who has information or concerns about the sale and supply of drugs in their community is urged to contact Police Scotland via 101. McTaggart pleaded guilty at the High Court in Edinburgh in June and was sentenced to four years and eight months behind bars at the High Court in Lanark on Monday. The cover may have some limited signs of wear but the pages are clean, intact and the spine remains undamaged. After his conviction, prosecutors announced they were dropping the charges against Kirstin, 40, from Gartcosh in Lanarkshire.
