On one hand, I liked it but on the other, it didn’t keep my attention – I had no trouble putting it down. I liked the story because it brought out such strong emotions in me, even though they may not have been the ones I was supposed to feel. She's confronted her father for having left her and her mother Lara, only to find out he's not her father, and his finding out was his reason for leaving. Anything Could Happen is a story of second chances, missed opportunities and how anything could happen – and often did.

Although this is a romance novel as with all Lucy Diamond’s books they’re not fluffy, they’re grounded in reality which gives the book a genuine air of authenticity.

From New York City to North Yorkshire to Cambridge this is a novel of missed opportunities when something potentially wonderful is lost for various reasons. Lara and Ben are inherently normal, good people whose situation just didn't work out at the beginning so they've settled for what they thought would do.
