About this deal

Disguising herself as her dead brother, Beatrice travels to Venice to find Florindo, the man responsible for his death. Apparently what happened was that she appeared in the 1978 film Golden Lady which was an all-female spoof on James Bond. Fine banter, good slice-of-life moments and the plot moves along weaving through their daily routine.

Cowley switches from his usual stunning Ford Granada to a plain Morris Marina in the car park on Queen Caroline Street under the Hammersmith Flyover.

Hall’s script retains the original location in time and place but with a humorous admixture of modern and 18 th century idiom (lovers are “my spooning sparrows”). His earliest drafts had large sections that were reserved for improvisation, but he revised it in 1789 in the version that exists today.

When the opportunity presents itself to be servant to another master (Florindo, as it happens) he sees the opportunity for an extra dinner. The mercenaries - led by Agravaine - drag Merlin's unconscious body to Morgana, who rebukes them for letting Arthur escape. However there is now a location cheat because the exteriors of Hahn's place is Stubbings House, Henley Road, Maidenhead. We have a latter day Frankie Howerd type in David Millard, the Brummie of Brighella, Simon Billig, the crosspatch Jennifer Dorian, who can throw a spectacular tantrum, Lucy Ashton, disguised as a man, who relishes a dazzling swordfight, and gives such a sound beating, she had the first-night audience gasping, plus Lee Ocsko, Chris Millington, David Reed, Terry Perkins and Elaine Elliott. The Fomorroh will suck out his life force, consuming his personality until only her instruction remains, and he will not rest until it's done.

You could dismiss this as being the curse of the West End, but a more reasoned explanation is that it is about the complex alchemy of productions and spaces. First performed at York Theatre Royal 26 August 2006 by Northern Broadsides, directed by Barrie Rutter.Doyle, discovering Bodie's van in the woods and noticing it is mysteriously shaking about: "He's never found himself a milkmaid? The most famous set-piece of the play is the scene in which the starving Harlequin tries to serve a banquet to the entourages of both his masters without either group becoming aware of the other, while desperately trying to satisfy his own hunger at the same time. Meanwhile, his mistress disguises herself as her dead brother to claim the dowry from his bewildered, bereft fiancee.
