Seasons 12, 19 and 18 were originally released with card slipcases, however no slipcase was included with the release of season 10 onward, and reissues of seasons 12, 19 and 18 also did not include slipcases. This time, though, I opted for William Russell, as Ian Chesterton telling us about the events of the two missing episodes while in his study, and I must say, it was lovely to see Russell back in character, reminiscing about his time with the Doctor. They later announced similar reissues for seasons 10 and 18, scheduled for release slightly over a month later on 5 July, and more seasons have been re-released since.

With the University of London's Professor Roger Luckhurst, Merseyside Maritime Museum's Ian Murphy and The National Maritime Museum's John McAleer. And we suspect the photo gallery of pictures have had a few new additions from the old DVD, showing off the detailed sets used in the story.

Sets would also sell out quickly in Australia, where, beginning with season 18, standard slipcase-packaged versions were released alongside the specially-packaged versions. This was one of the rare examples of a companion relationship feeling honest and earned, even if you watch all six parts in one sitting, as opposed to over the course of six weeks as originally aired. Most notably, Coming Soon trailer for at-the-time forthcoming DVD releases of serials have been moved to the disc for the preceding story.
