About this deal

I've never seen any of the TV shows Jason Fox has been involved in so I had no preconceived notions about him before I started reading. It started really slow, was hard to get used to Foxy's narrating, but after few quick chapters and no distractions this book just gets better and better. I was having a nightmare of a day – couldn’t see the purpose of anything, work wasn’t good, I’d had a massive argument, and just felt ‘What’s the point?

She was actually reluctant to see him again and I wonder whether the whole experience confronted her with something about herself, namely: that her urge to help others was not purely selfless but an attempt to create a world she wanted to live in. Fighting back from the brink, Foxy found a new purpose and drive – partly through founding his mental health charity and partly through his TV career after being approached as one of the experts for SAS: Who Dares Wins, a show he’s been with since it launched in 2015. In this 'out of this world' episode Foxy speaks to astronaut Tim Peake about going into space and his incredible experience on the international space station. And I was always like – this is an experience I’ve had – “There shouldn’t be high fives because that was awful, you were annoying and that was wrong, and we messed up there, and wasted a lot of money…” But no-ones interested in that. I'm going to be chatting to some awesome guests and it's going to be fascinating to hear their stories and find out how mindset and resilience go them through some of the toughest experiences a person could face.I opened up about my mental health issues on TV and in media interviews, hoping it would help others to recognize any problems they might have too. Almost as poignant was the inability of the military to meet the author's natural and wholly understandable therapeutic needs. This book reinforces the fact that there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to mental health treatment and that perseverance is key to finding the right approach to treatment and the right people to help. You have the luxury of observing and seeing what’s going on, and can hear bits from each individual person. SAS Star Jason Fox Would Have 'Probably' Killed Himself If He Hadn't Received Help With Mental Health".

In this episode, Aldo Kane and Foxy talk to the Latitude 35 rowing team on the day the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge kicks off. Rarely does this happen for me but without hesitation I'd say that I did find this excellent book completely gripping. Leaving the Special Forces in 2012 and moving into the TV and Film industry, Jason initially used his wealth of experience in the Special Forces to support production crews who were working in environmentally hostile areas, such as the jungle, the arctic or the desert. I initially wondered if the possibly flamboyant writing of the opening battle scene was somewhat at odds with the tone of all that follows but it didn't put me off and in no time at all I was engrossed. It would have been nice to see if there had been any change in this or amends made, instead of reading ‘my new girlfriend’ or ‘my partner then. From deployment in Afghanistan to walking to the North Pole, Jason highlights what it takes to develop emotional resilience from working within some of the most pressurised environments on earth.

I’ve been involved in gunfights, really, really hardcore ones, and if we’re able to pull back and sit down behind a wall and have a rollie, and a quick 6 seconds to ourselves, that’s all it might take. A huge thank you to my most recent sponsors for your incredible support - ThruDark, Elliot Brown Watches you have been phenomenal! In winter 2023, the concept was adapted for the United States television market as Special Forces: World's Toughest Test. The expedition was unsupported, with Johnson and Fox raising awareness and funds for Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity. Fox stars alongside former special forces soldiers Ant Middleton, Matthew 'Ollie' Ollerton, Mark 'Billy' Billingham, and Jay Morton.Today you are most likely to find him gracing our television screens and giving us a taste of action and adventure around the world. Following the first season of SAS: Who Dares Wins, after I’d admitted my breakdown to a large TV audience, I was asked whether I was worried about the public perception of me.
