Our Classic plinth heaters are designed to keep you cosy for a fraction of the cost of a traditional radiator. Since most homes already have a gas boiler and radiator system set up, the running cost of adding a hydronic plinth heater won’t be excessive at all. Haven't yet tried it in the depths of winter but I suspect it will be much better than the old radiator. Connecting directly to your central heating system and fitting tidily in the plinth space under a unit or cupboard, heat is circulated through a heat exchanger into the room using a low noise two-speed fan. This Space Saver sits neatly under a kitchen unit and comes with a Stainless Steel Grille as standard.The flexible hose pipes will then need to be connected from the heater to the central heating system. These are plumbed into your central heating system, so work similarly to a radiator; they receive a flow of hot water which is then helped distributed into the room with a fan if required. A plinth heater helps you make the most out of your floor space as it fits beneath your kitchen island or cabinet. This means it can keep a room cosy and heat it quickly using less energy than the traditional radiator.
